Sometimes there is no greater pleasure than two slices of straight up House, and this is just what Wez Saunders has delivered.
I have to admit, I thought I was on the receiving end of a badly tagged mp3, but it seems that straightforward House also requires a straightforward title. The A-Side [yep] captures more of the imagination in motion than by its name – a low honkytonk piano menacingly churns away, stirring a devilishly classic Rave emotion, as a carnival organ tumbles down over the top.
Dancing and Losing Control goes even further down this twisted old school path, classic House bass and 909 hats pair up with Rave chord progressions and Mickey Mouse vocals that have been dragged out of a near death cassette box set. Simple good fun.
