REVOLUCION RECORDS REMIX COMPETITION

Ever since Revolucion Records was launched back in the summer of 2007 we have always looked upon ourselves as an artist label, one which prefers to make the effort and go out and find emerging talents to the electronic scene and help them develop as an artist working equally alongside more established names from within the industry rather than just being a label that releases music by whoever is trendy at the time and flavour of the month in the music press.

After several late nights in the office we thought what better way to thank you for all the support that we have had over the past 4 years than to give one lucky producer the chance to have their own remix of one of the classic tracks from our back catalogue released exclusively at Beatport in the spring of 2012 plus a whole host of other great prizes courtesy of our good friends at MOOB music management and SOUNDCLOUD.

1st prize :
- The winning remix will appear on a full digital release exclusively available at Beatport in May 2012.
- PR & Marketing campaign individualy designed by MOOB Music Management to help the winner’s career in music.

Competition Entry Rules:

1. Register via our inbox over on our competition soundcloud page with your email address, name, age and location. revolucion remixcomp

2. After registering for the competition download remix parts as instructed. (Revolucion Records will retain copyright ownership of audio samples provided)

3. Get creative and produce a remix of the track by using the original sounds from the supplied audio samples. (remember we are an underground house and techno label so no point doing a dubstep or trance remix is there..)

4. Once you’re happy with your remix, simply upload it via the dropbox over on our soundcloud group page. Revolucion Records Remix Competition

5. Deadline for submissions is Tuesday 31st January 2012 / 23:59 (GMT). (late entries will not be accepted sorry)

6. The REVOLUCION A&R team will then narrow down their favourite remixes from the entries. (although we would love to accept bribes of sports cars and holidays unfortunately this time we can’t)

7. We will then upload the best remixes and our friends, fans and followers will vote to choose the final 5 places.

8. Voting will commence on Friday 10th February 2012 and end Friday 30th March 2012 / 23:59 (GMT). (we will then take a few days out to pick our winner)

9. WINNER and runners up announced Monday 2nd April 2012.

The final winning entry will be decided by originality, creativity, technical skills and quality of production.

Encourage your fans, friends, family any anyone else you know to get involved in this exciting competition and spread help the word around, you never know it could be your remix that gets to appear on a future Revolucion release.
