Omid 16B is a true artist but also a DJ/ producer of the highest caliber and owner/ founder of Sexonwax Recordings and the recently resurrected Alola Records. His artistic approach to everything he’s touched has so far seen a prolific 15 years and is getting from strength to strength. His artist album “Sounds From Another Room” on “Eye Q Recordings”, through to his mix compilations like “Balance 13” on Stomp Australia or “In House We Trust” on Yoshitoshi have lead to critical acclaim as his singles which have been signed on to major labels like BMG/ Deconstruction just to name a few.
Sponsored by industry giants such as Pioneer, Ableton, Roland and Native Instruments Omid has been hailed as one of the most cutting edge artists coming out of the UK in the past decade. His remixes have ranged from artists such as The Cure to Gus Gus, to François Kevorkian to Deep Dish and Depeche Mode amongst many others.

2011 has seen Omid join forces with the legendary DJ John Digweed on releasing Omid’s hit double A side single “Rain/ The Passion Of Zorro” on John’s own Bedrock Records, hitting at number 1 and 2 internal charts and number 18 in the Beatport progressive top 100.
Omid signed to AAA management – agency early 2011 to concentrate on global events and festivals worldwide. Apart from non stop gigging and studio work since January 2011, Omid played two Easter Bedrock events in London and Glasgow which saw him back on top with his unique style and textures.
Currently Omid will be finishing the last stages of his new artist album to be released in 2012. This will be documented by the BBC who are currently making a film about DJ’s with a different background based in London and Omid 16B himself.
