I was brought up in the West of the Burgh and basically it’s not been too exciting. I’m a massive Hibs fan and have not missed a Hibs game at Easter Road in what must be over 7 years. I’ve been an administrator on the very popular Hibernian Supporters forum www.hibeesbounce.com and have been doing that for a few years now. With that I’ve learnt alot of what I know now by just playing around with different software etc. I’ve not been taught anything so some things can go wrong. I’ve been running ZeroSeven for a few years now and recently we’ve started getting visitors from all round the globe. I’m always on the look out for new adventures that I know will work so I couldn’t turn down the chance to work for SHA with a good and talented team of music lovers.
I’ve been brought up with a musical background, I learnt to play keyboard at a young age and also was a member of the National Youth Choir or Scotland performing on TV numerous times, performing in opera’s and meeting the queen. I’ve been wanting to get into DJ’ing however I simply cannot afford the gear so at the moment all I’ve achieved is a wee bit of mp3 dj’ing using my ‘Hercules DJ Control’ thing. I’d love to get behind some pioneers.
I don’t really have a favourite genre of music. I’d listen to anything aslong as it has a good melody, good lyrics and the track is just truly ‘listenable’. At this moment in time I’m more into my Trance (Mostly Trance Around The World podcast by Above & Beyond) but I listen to dubstep, drum & bass, house, electro, cheesy dance, pop, R&B and whatever on a daily basis. I love my music and i’ve been brought up with music from a very young age. If I were to choose a favourite right now it’d be Swedish House Mafia simply because their tracks together been massive but also as the three DJ’s/Producers alone they make some very good tunes. Most of which, full of cheese compared to what you hear on SHA.
Keep Ravin’
