Markus Homm // What Do They Want (Remixes) [Unike Muzik]

Earlier in the month we tackled the question posed by Markus and found that they want a nice selection of stripped back deep house. Now we have a whole new set of remixes so has the answer changed?

First up we have Parisian Chris Carrier and his beefed up rework of Keyframe Signal. He keeps the main, warm synth but adds a whole new edgy drum pattern to really amp up the original for the darker dancefloors. Mexicans Leo Leal & Adrian Garza then step in for their take on Key Frame. This one even darker than Carrier, with a hint of thunder coming at you with the rumbling keys.

Flip to the B and we first have Alex Celler on Take Off with his Toronto Dub. A breakbeat style drum pattern leads the way and where the original was a slow burning tension builder, this follows suit but in a far dirtier fashion.

Finally young Spaniard Carlos Sanchez remixes title track What Do They Want. Carlos has taken a similar slant as the original but has fired up each individual element of the track moving it from the early set playlist into peak time.

So all in all it appears they wanted deep house originally but when their friends came round, things got nasty.
