Douglas Greed // When A Man Sings On A track [Freude Am Tanzen]
Aenima is a veritable bag of digitalised techno rattlesnakes being flung around a room. The double kiks sound nice and tribal, the single bass blare is nicely repugnant too before the the rising and falling synths and swathes enter the fray and warp my head. These are thrown about brilliantly causing a great deal of disorientation, but there are notes picked out here to hold things tracks together.
Likewise Lopez continues the disorientation here. With more excellent production and a suffocating inside of a barrel vibe (for real) – It’s short, sweet and will work perfectly as a dark DJ tool for many. These are both definitely tracks to involve yourself with if you enjoy late-night, freaky techno leanings, which I do.
Lead track When A Man Sings On A Track is warehouse music which’ll have Tenaglia types churning this one out all over NY. Big vocals strutting fearlessly over some ferocious beats and devastating lasered bass to create a pretty massive groove which will have fans of the genre strutting their finest on the dancefloor.
