About Us

SHAdigital.com (or SHA as we affectionately call it)
We are a team of music loving individuals who, alongside our normal working lives, push our favourite electronic music sounds via this website. It started as a podcast for friends, but has grown into a fully fledged site now showcasing world class artists and dj’s through exclusive podcasts, interviews and features.
We also cover all relevant music news and review the latest sounds from the biggest and best labels across the globe, and also some of the fresh, new ones, making the right waves.

The Team

Slim
Stuart started SHA in November 2010 as a podomatic show featuring mixes from friends and workmates. As the podcast grew, Stuart pushed the boundaries and picked up mixes from heavy hitters like Greg Wilson and Kaiserdisco. It was time to become more than just a podomatic show and with Owen’s help, the website was created in June 2011. Stuart now actively promotes the site to the World while providing the occasional mix for us to broadcast.

Craig Fraser
Craig joined SHA in August 2011 having worked with Slim for about 10 years and featured on the podcast several times. Craig has became the press contact for SHA, handling and growing our links within the record industry. He also conducts most of the artist interviews, occasionally writes features and drops a mix now and then.

fourfourfun
Simon joined SHA in July 2011 having provided several mixes for the podcast under his fourfourfun moniker. Coming from a blogging background with an infinite knowledge of music, Simon is the main features writer for the site and pens many of the reviews that we post. Simon still finds time to piece together timeless mixes and is responsible for the quarterly SHAkers mix series.

Mike 13
Mike joined SHA in December 2011 and quickly found his niche on the site through his productions skills and produced a pack of samples for us to give away for free. This was a great success and we recently put out the third in the series on SHAcreate. Mike also provides mixes and writes reviews. With a little help from SHA’s coverage, Mike was picked up by a major label and now has releases available under the Mike 13 moniker.

Colin Cook
Colin joined SHA in February 2012 as part of the review team. As the site grew it was clear we needed more word smith’s for reviewing and Colin came with a glowing recommendation from Mike and he hasn’t disappointed. Colin’s reviews utilise his vast knowledge of music with a deft touch for subtle comedy and references that ensure his words will always hit the right notes with the reader.

Gareth Sommerville
Gareth joined SHA in July 2012 as part of the review team. Like Colin, Gareth has a long history being associated with the scene, the pair having resided at one of Edinburgh’s most popular parties, Ultragroove, for over 12 years. Gareth is a familiar name in the UK and beyond with a wealth of experience in the art of reviewing having worked for several publications in the past. We are delighted to secure someone of Gareth’s pedigree for the site.

Stevie Reid
Stevie joined SHA in July 2012 as another welcome addition to the expanding review team. A familiar face on the Edinburgh circuit, Stevie made the move from attending the clubs to playing at them and hasn’t looked back. This desire has flowed through into production where he has been working with Kev Wright and now has a series of releases available you can check out on beatport.

Graeham Lost
Our newest addition to the SHA fold, Graeham Lost is a Liverpool based DJ, music obsessive and veteran of the North West underground house scene. With numerous guest slots and residencies across his 17 year career, Graeham is never short of opinions about dance music. Part of duo The Love Lost, SHA got wind of their mixtape talents in October 2011 and a podcast quickly ensued.

Owen Wright
Owen has been around since this site became a site, and it was all his work! He is our net wizard who keeps things moving in the background and makes some amazing images like the flashy gif’s at the top of each post. Owen has his own site which caters for music more to his own heart and what the kids are down with these days so if that’s your cup of tea, check out zeroseven via the link below.
